I wanted to write a longer post this evening, but my mind is full of a swirl of eclipse-related questions, tasks and minor panic. This whole eclipse thing has made the past year one of the most stressful yet. And right now, the world in general is exhausting for everyone. So when I have the chance, I take a page from Maggie at Mighty Girl and think of some little things that are bringing joy to my life. It’s worth taking the time to slow down, reflect, recharge and then get back out there. My little lovely things…
-The extra soft spots behind my cats’ ears.
-A container of cubed watermelon a coworker brought to the office.
-Face masks that peel off in one piece.
-A pile of books just waiting to be cracked open.
-Friends who tell you everything is going to be amazing.
-A nap that seamlessly transitions into a full-on sleep.
-Booking hotels rooms.
-A flickering candle.
-Beets that come pre-spiralized.
-The occasional breeze that carries the promise of fall.

-Sunbeams (lovely pic)
-Yarn on my crochet hook
-My new glasses that fit perfectly on my face and let me SEE things
-Snuggling into my bed to fall asleep
-Hot coffee first thing in the morning
Isn’t seeing the best!?
Amen to the eclipse related mania! I think a mental health day post-event is in order 🙂
